Nacionales. – De los 2,000 mercados que operan a nivel nacional, 380 serán intervenidos este mes a fin de convertirlos en centros de abastos que garanticen su salubridad y evitar que sean lugares de contagio del coronavirus para comerciantes y clientes, anunció el presidente Martín Vizcarra.
En conferencia de prensa virtual desde Palacio de Gobierno, el Dignatario precisó que son 36 los mercados a escala nacional que han sido identificados como críticos por ser centros altos de contagio, y que serán intervenidos por las autoridades de manera urgente.
Explicó que, para ello, se están haciendo las coordinaciones con las asociaciones de comerciantes, las autoridades municipales, los ministerios de Agricultura y de la Producción, a fin de ejecutar las acciones que permitan convertir aquellos centros de abastos críticos en mercados seguros y limpios.
Los mercados están organizados y ellos quieren vender. No tienen ninguna intención de contagiar con el virus. Hay que juntarnos con los alcaldes, el Estado y la asociación de comerciantes. Hay que convertirlos en centros ordenados, con ingreso y salida, espacios para lavarse con agua y jabón, lo que uno requiere para evitar el contagio, enfatizó.
Recordó que la intervención en los mercados de Caquetá y de Surquillo permitió detectar que el contagio afectó al 20% y 40% de los comerciantes de ambos centros de abastos, respectivamente. (Agencia Andina)
