Nacionales.- lima. El Instituto Nacional de Defensa de la Competencia y de la Protección de la Propiedad Intelectual (Indecopi) ratificó que los colegios privados están prohibidos de cobrar por adelantado la pensión escolar, es decir a inicios o a mediados del mes.
Las pensiones escolares se deben pagar al final de cada mes. Existen muchos padres que se quejan porque los primeros días de marzo ya les están cobrando la pensión y les indican que ya se venció la mensualidad, advirtió Rocío Llanos, funcionaria de la Comisión de Protección al Consumidor del Indecopi.
Esta práctica es común en algunos colegios privados que alegan la necesidad de cubrir diferentes pagos, como la planilla de remuneraciones del personal docente y administrativo, indicó Llanos. Se refirió también a la queja de muchos padres de familia en el sentido de que los colegios cobran por la pensión total del mes cuando solo se dictaron algunos días de clases, lo que ocurre en marzo, julio y diciembre.
Existen varias alegaciones de los padres de familia respecto a este tema, pero lo cierto es que las pensiones de enseñanza de los colegios son cobradas como cuotas mensuales de un servicio integral que es el servicio de todo el año escolar, indicó.
INCREMENTO EN LAS PENSIONES
Si los colegios decidieran aumentar las pensiones para el siguiente año, de acuerdo con el Código de Protección y Defensa del Consumidor, deben informar sobre esta situación por escrito.
“Antes de que culmine el año escolar y durante el proceso de matrícula deben informarle a los padres de familia sobre lo relacionado al monto, número y fechas de pago de las pensiones”, subrayó.
